The Decentralized AI Society
The Operating System for Humanity
The Decentralized AI Society (DAIS) brings together the leading players in the emergent decentralized AI ecosystem to collectively promote the development of an open AI economy that’s built by and for the benefit of human beings.

Decentralized AI
Mission Statement :
A community of organizations that collaborates, generates ideas, shares information and unlocks funding to further the development of an open, decentralized, censorship-resistant and secure internet in the age of artificial intelligence.
DAIS will promote first principles, technology standards and policies that support effective decentralized AI systems founded on self-sovereign, privacy-preserving data models, digital assets, open-source code, edge computation and decentralized infrastructure networks.
Areas of Focus
The DAIS Value Proposition
The DAIS founding team has identified four areas of focus in which the Society can add value. Strategies and priorities for these and other potential work pillars will be formulated in consultation with DAIS’s first-phase founding members.
Engineering
DAIS can accelerate innovation to overcome the speed, latency, scaling, security and coordination hurdles that decentralized models face against the efficiency of centralized AI. A collaborative, coordinated effort across the DeAI technology stack will unlock a core crypto advantage: permissionless, low-friction development via open-source, composable software. The Society will champion initiatives such as a major prize for researchers able to solve big problems in decentralized AI development.
Capital
To help the DeAI industry propagate and develop, DAIS can boost its capacity to attract the vast amounts of capital needed to keep up with centralized players. Three possibilities:
- Funding and operationalizing a DAIS accelerator
- Promoting innovative DeFi solutions for capital-raising
- Fostering an internal economy for members to cost-effectively pay for each other’s services.
Policy
DAIS will be a forum for legal experts and developers to lobby for legislation that establishes developers’ rights and removes unreasonable barriers to the DeAI industry’s capacity to compete. DAIS can tap the founding team’s relationships with influential policy makers to draft rules that support token-based finance and provide sandboxes and safe-harbor protections giving startups a fighting chance.
Outreach and Promotion
Led by a team with strong ties to traditional media and a reputation for trusted information, DAIS will lead the DeAI industry’s outreach to the non-crypto world of corporations, non-profits, governments and universities. DAIS will generate content and stage events that encourage the kind of mainstream integration that’s needed if DeAI is to have the impact on society it deserves to have.
